"Snow Cruise" Pt 3 with Allie the Mtn Dog and Nutnfancy
"Snow Cruise" Pt 3 with Allie the Mtn Dog and Nutnfancy Video Clips. Duration : 17.92 Mins.
Recipe for adventure: one female black lab, four to five feet of snow with more falling, a good shoeshoe hike in and out, knife and axe testing while setting up a survival shelter, and snowy firemaking in a remote area high in the Rocky Mountains. Taking place again in the "Nutnfancy Knife Clinic" (hey we haven't been here in awhile), the solitude we achieve in this winter wonderland is breath taking. But the work sure wasn't! Making a survival camp a reality in these conditions takes a lot work (hard to appreciate really until you do it!). Allie and I simulate a stuck-out survival situation in these harsh conditions and set up a survival campsite (using the portable Coghlans® brand orange plastic tube tent). This scenario was realistic and provided good gear testing opportunities. As I've done before, I show a lot of the work necessary to find and process standing deadwood into useable dry firewood with sharp edges that ignite more readily. We fall several dead trees in the process with the Cold Steel Trail Boss axe, Norse Tomahawk (very good performance for weight), and Sawvivor backpack saw and split a few other blades too (like the Dow Coated 3400A Ontario RAT-7 knife shown!). Some may say thinner wood could be used to build a fire but usually it is rain and moisture soaked therefore is an ureliable fire STARTING source. Songkran is thailands new year. In this old tradition, people poor water over their buddha figures to clean them from the rest of the past year. In todays times the celebration changed more to a wild party. Especially in bigger towns and touristic areas. Maybe it is a loss of old tradition and respect, but . . . Yes - it is fun! The thai people are really getting loose and they know how to party. There is no way to escape the "water fight". Everybody is getting soaking wet. The water party goes on the whole day and calms down a bit in the evening. Not so on Bangla Road in Patong. The tourists keep on going till late in the night. That means if you want to go out for dinner, and you want to stay dry, you will have better chances if you avoid Bangla Road or even better you wear a raincoat. Otherwise you sit in the restaurant completely wet. For me this felt a bit annoying. Because after walking arround with wet clothes for about 10 hours, you really need a break. The thai people know when to stop, not so the tourists. But Songkran is not the time for complaining. So you got to take whatever comes to you. And this will be water, water and again water! At the end it was a great party for us. We enjoyed it.

Vanishing on 7th Street is a post-apocalyptic horror-thriller film directed by Brad Anderson and starring Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton and John Leguizamo. So I finished my first marathon on Nov. 16th. I did OK so far. It was raining when we started. I made some rain coat from plastic trash bag. It worked well though. I crossed the finish line for about 4 hours 50 minutes. I have to accept it as my current skill. When I reached 37km, I knew I only got 6 more kilometers to go but I couldn't keep running...I just couldn't even if I wanted...So I had to do a repeat of walking and then running. Man that was more hell than I thought after 35 to 37km!! You never know how hard it is! A few days later, I have found the change occurring in my mind. A little funny change. I thought I was gonna hate marathon race after this challenge, but now I love this. Why? I don't know for sure but there is one thing I'm sure about is I love to run now! And I'm sure I'll keep training and get in another race in the future. Training is sometimes frastrating but the key stage is amazingly awsome! I never tried any running race before this marathon. So I had to start training from 5km run and increased the distance to 10km,15km,20km,25km and 30km. I made those progress in four month. SO I thought I was ready for marathon. But, not really was after all. It takes more time I guess. Anyway I really have to say ''Thank you all''. & Sorry the vid is a little shaky. Below is an extract from an interview with Bhai Karamjit Singh Ji: "I knew that killing the Prime Minister of the country wasn`t an easy task, considering the security around him. So, finally, it occurred to me that this plan might be executed on Gandhi Jayanti at the Rajghat- the Samadhi of Mahatma Gandhi. Now, the main problem was to get high-quality arms and ammunitions. Initially, I tried to get a superior-quality revolver from Punjab, but failed. I settled for a country-made revolver from Shriganganagar (Rajasthan) that cost me Rs 300. I was doing it with the utmost care and confidentiality, but the information was leaked by Punjabi arms suppliers to the police and the Criminal Investigations Department (CID). The Prime Minister (Rajiv Gandhi) came to know that someone from Punjab might try to shoot at him on Gandhi Jayanti at Rajghat in New Delhi. So commandos were deployed at the Rajghat days before the program. I knew that the security would be tight. So, I made it a point to take my position inside Rajghat about 10 days in advance. I entered Rajghat on September 22 with 35 things necessary for the operation. I sat on an elevated platform at a height of about 10 feet from the ground behind the bushes.
